Since opening in 1995, Alison Rogers has established Pretty Paws as a caring, professional salon with a reputation for delivering the highest level of service to all pets and owners. As a member of the BDGA and PetCare Trust she competes regularly and also hosts seminars and demonstrations both at home and abroad.
She started grooming in 1992 as well as showing West Highland White Terriers. She then studied and achieved her city and guilds 775 dog grooming and has now completing her higher dog grooming diploma. she is also a member of the guild of master groomers. You can be assured that you are in good hands!
As well as running Pretty Paws, Alison and her team enjoy competing in grooming competitions both at home and abroad.
Alison has consistantly achieved places in various grooming competitions, winning the \"\'Professional Groomers Championship\" in 2003 and again in 2004 (she is the only dog groomer to have achieved this two years in a row)
A runner up at the \"British Dog Groomer of the Year\" in 2000, she has also competed in the \"Oster International Invitational Tournament of Champions\" in New York and Las Vegas (you have to be personally invited to compete in this)
And recently she got two 1st places at eurogroom 2006.

Alisons depth of experince includes teaching dog grooming and animal care at various colleges, teaching students NVQ, BTec 1ST, National Diploma, to Entry Level and Asset.
Alison is qualified to City and Guilds 730 teaching and has also completed her OCR level 4 teaching as well as being a fully qualifed dog groomer.
Alison has experience with showing and breeding rabbits and has worked very closely with parrots and show cats, we can therefore offer grooming for all animals both large and small
Now Alison enjoys showing and breeding her standard poodle "'Bibop Black Eyed Pea "(Pete) and her bichon frise "atoya viva las vegas" (viva)
The salon has been involved in a number of photo shoots, catwalks and also tv and radio work which is great fun for all the dogs and staff
We also are now able to offer the NPTC intermediate certificate on dog grooming level 2.
